Practice and experiment whenever possible. I always have a sketchbook to hand to record ideas.

Remember, it’s perfectly normal not to feel creative all the time. Some days I feel like I can’t draw anymore. When this happens, I’ve learnt how important it is to step away from my desk and do something different in order to gain some clarity.

My mum has always said, “You can’t pour from an empty cup”, which is a hugely important piece of advice for creatives like me who are working for themselves. It’s a reminder that we can’t give to others if we are not taking care of ourselves.
