ADD THE FINISHING TOUCHES

Some of the veins are hinted at as part of the initial wet-in-wet washes, but paint more distinct ones with a tiny dry brush loaded with Quinacridone Lilac. As soon as a vein is painted, I use a damp size 2 brush to blend it into the petal texture. The blending means the veins look like they are part of the texture and not drawn on top.
