ADDING ATMOSPHERE

To make the distant objects appear as if they were being seen through a veil of silvery light, I used my trusty index finger, this time to gently graze light pastel colours over the canvas texture in certain areas like the trees behind the boat. Although a lot of fun, it’s important not to overdo this technique in case it smothers the brushwork.
