JURGA’S TOP TIPS
1
Create interesting first layers by using a wet-onwet technique; let the colours flow and mix themselves on the paper. Once the first layer is dry, add details and define shapes by using thicker paint.
2
Soak your brush in clean water, then dip only the tip into the paint. This gives a gradient from dark values to light in one stroke.
3
Create energy in your painting with splashes of colour. Load the brush with diluted paint, then tap the brush on your finger. A soft natural hair brush will produce a long drop shape whilst a stiffer, synthetic brush will produce round dots.
