3 ADDING MASKING FLUID

I wait until all the paintwork is thoroughly dry and start to add more texture by adding a further layer of masking fluid. Trying to achieve the texture of fur works especially well with this method. As this is a short-haired dog, I want the masking fluid to be used as a highlighter and give the suggestion of fur without painting in every strand of hair. This is where I start to look at the reflections in the eyes, which are key.
