Megan’s £500 thank-you for charity’s help

DENSTONE College student Megan Cappa has raised more than £500 for a charity that is close to her heart.

Megan, who is in the Upper Sixth Form, organised a summer fair at Denstone Village Hall to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Her father, Stephen, was a victim of cancer and Megan wanted to give back to the organisation that gave her family support.

The event included stalls, raffles, tombola, refreshments and a visit from Ashmore’s ice cream. Some £531 was raised. Megan has said she is extremely grateful to all who supported the event.
