Roston on top as Compton only edge win

CHAMPIONS Roston Inn are back on top of Ashbourne Town Darts League Division One by a single point after winning 7-2 at Shoulder B.

Craig Brassingto­n hit five registers and had a 17-dart singles for them, while Neil Gerrard hit a 120 double start.

Matt Mellor scored three registers for the Shoulder B.

Previous leaders Compton X also won but needed to get there on the final doubles away to Bowling Green to secure a 5-4 win.

Kim Robinson scored four registers, including a 110 finish, and hit a 180 for Compton. Phil Pickering scored three registers for the hosts.

Simon Sowter hit five registers and Rob Smith had a 103 double start for Mayfield Arms when they had a 7-2 win away to Red Lion (Holl).

Gary Copeland scored four registers and had an 18-dart singles and Aidy Redfern hit a 122 double start for Roston B in an 8-1 win at home to X Men.

Steve Millward scored five registers for the X Men.

Dan Ford scored four registers and had a 19-dart singles and Guy Chambers hit four registers for Tiger A when they won 5-4 at home against the Shoulder A. Chris Bates had six registers for the visitors.

In Division Two, leaders Nags Head B made it five wins out of five when they won 8-1 at home to Shoulder C.

Chris Whitbread hit four registers and Rich Lowe had an 80 finish and a 21-dart singles for the Nags. Ryan Austin hit a 148 double start for the visitors.

Connor Hodgkinson scored four registers, including a 180 and a 120 double start and had a 17-dart singles for Black Horse B during their 5-4 win at home to The Bullets.

Jonathan Edge hit five registers for Parwich Sycamore in a 6-3 win at The Wheel. Dave Gadsby scored three registers for the home team.

Mick Marshall scored three registers for Mezzas Arms as they also maintained their 100% record with a 5-4 away win against Ex-servicemen’s Club.

Paul Cotton scored four registers, Paul Weston had a 100 double start and Mick Foxon had a 16-dart singles for the club.

Crown Jewels, at home to Tiger B, won 5-4. David Naylor hit four registers for Tiger.

Boylestone Arrows travelled to Shire Horse for a 6-3 win. Kev Pattinson scored four registers for the hosts.

Boylestone are hanging on to second place, despite winning three and losing three so far.

Steve Bloor and David Spencer both hit three registers and Dominic Harrison had a 21-dart singles for Division Three leaders BGB away to Smith’s Tavern B, where they maintained their 100% record by taking the final doubles for a 5-4 win.

Lee Dean had three registers for the Tavern.

Luke Harrison scored four registers and had a 24-dart singles for White Swan in a 5-4 away win against Straight Outta Compton.

Aiden Robinson scored three registers and had a 92 double start for the hosts.

Dan Bell hit a 76 double start and Shaun Williamson had a 71 finish for Bluebell KL, who also have a 100% record, having played a match less than BGB.

They won 6-3 at home against Double D.

Haydn Whitfield had a 106 double start and John O’brien hit a 180 for Denstone Tavern during a 7-2 win at home against the Wheelies.

Tonight (Wednesday) sees the first round of the Jennings Cup.
