● Only around a quarter of the crimes taking place in the Derbyshire Dales were being recorded, police chiefs announced, as a campaign began to encourage victims to report crime. Derbyshire County Council backed the campaign, acknowledging that it would see a rise in figures, but agreeing it could lead to better use of resources.
