MAT­LOCK AC run­ner Dan Ha­worth won this year’s Dovedale Dash in a crack­ing time 25 min­utes, 41 sec­onds, only 40 sec­onds out­side Gary Booty’s course record of 40.01 from 1995.

Ha­worth was sec­ond last year.

Sec­ond this time went to Harry Holmes from Pud­sey & Bram­ley AC in 26.05, while Alex Ediker (Bur­ton AC), in third, was also the fastest un­der-18 in 26.09.

For the sec­ond year run­ning, the fastest woman – also the quick­est un­der-18 girl – was Mat­lock AC’S Els­beth Grant, 48th over­all in 31.42.

Also tak­ing a ti­tle for the sec­ond year was the fastest un­der-14 boy, Queen El­iz­a­beth Gram­mar School pupil Pa­trick Welsh, 46th over­all in 31.34. Derby AC’S Pop­pie Mead was first un­der-14 girl (35.31).
