Make-up artist to the stars brings roadshow to town

-

A MAKE-UP artist from Parwich who has set out on a one-woman crusade to help women aged over 40 feel better about themselves is bringing her roadshow to Ashbourne next month.

Jo Jewett, who has worked with celebrities including the late Princess Diana, plus Bette Midler and Madonna, is touring the UK with her Masterclass Roadshow, which she describes as a campaign to help women conquer the fear of change.

She will be running one of her shows, which offer personal beauty charts for every guest, make-up training and a free gift, at The Bridge in Dig Street on Thursday, December 6 from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.

She said: “I am on a mission to show my simple technique. Beauty tips, tricks and truths about the make-up industry, the products to buy, skin care we choose and how to avoid being sucked in by clever marketing and sales patter that leads us into spending fortunes on products we don’t need.

“So, I’m here to blow the lid off the industry giants and show women what really works for them.

“The aim is to catapult women of my generation into a new way to use make-up.”

The Bridge will be donating £5 from every £25 ticket sold to their favoured charity, The Titan Children’s Trust, and a £125 personal training session will be among raffle prizes on the night.
