Getting in mood for Christmas

-

NOVEMBER’S meeting saw us playing board games, solving puzzles with a Christmas theme, making Christmas decorations, and having time to chat as we enjoyed coffee, tea and delicious biscuits.

On Friday, December 14 we shall meet at Denstone Farm Shop for our Christmas lunch.

Those who read the report of the October meeting in the Ashbourne News Telegraph would know the wrong date for this had been given – apologies for sending the wrong information.

At our meeting on Thursday, December 20, we shall be participating in Christmas fun and games, singing carols, and performing Yuletide readings.

There will be mulled wine, mince pies and other Christmas goodies.

The speaker at our meeting on Thursday, January 17, Tony East, will be informing us, and making us aware, of the fraudsters and scammers who attempt to access our bank accounts and employ other means to rob vulnerable people of their livelihood.

Don’t forget there is t’ai chi every Friday, from 2pm to 3pm at The Hub on the Airfield Industrial Estate, Derby Road. And the Carer’s Coffee Morning at The Cornerstone Café on Church Street is on the fourth Thursday of the month between 10am and 11.30am or a little later.

Our members are friendly and caring, and a warm welcome awaits all who join us on the third Thursday of the month at Town Head Community Room, 2pm to 4pm. Transport can be arranged.
