BGB still cannot be stopped as they topple Oak

DOMINIC Harrison scored six registers and had a 17-dart singles, while Steve Egan hit a 105 finish and Rich Goodall had an 18-dart singles for BGB in an 8-1 victory over Royal Oak in the Ashbourne Town Darts League.

Gav Ratcliffe scored four registers, including a 180, as Mayfield Arms took on Tiger A and had a 7-2 win. Deene Overton and Simon Sowter both scored four registers and Rob Smith hit a 119 finish for the home side.

Chris Ford hit three registers, including a 180, and Dan Ford and Michael Cartwirght had three registers each for Tiger A.

Tom Fentem scored four registers, Robin Penfold had a 101 double start and Paul Williams hit a 180 for Parwich Sycamore in their 7-2 win at home to Bowling Green, for whom Simon Pettigrew scored three registers, Colin Redfearn had a 125 finish and Phil Pickering had a 180.

Neil Gerrard scored four registers, including a 180, for Roston Inn when they saw off X Men 8-1. Steve Millward scored four registers, including a 120 finish, and Ben Weston hit a 90 double start for the visitors.

Chris Bates scored four registers, including a 120 double start, for Shoulder A as they won the final doubles for a 5-4 win over Compton X. Paul Jones hit three registers and Tony Hodkinson had an 18-dart singles for Compton X.

Shoulder B travelled were also 5-4 winners against Red Lion (Holl) as Paul Haddock hit three registers, Jamie Yates had a 104 finish and Will Smith had a 110 finish.

Gary Copeland scored five registers for Roston B in their 5-4 away win against Wheel. Nathan Garside scored four registers, Dave Gadsby had an 86 double start and Sean Jones hit a 92 double start for Wheel.

Kev Hodgkinson scored four registers and Mark Wheeldon had a 21dart singles for Black Horse B when they travelled to Ex-serviceman’s Club and won 6-3. Paul Cotton scored five registers, including a 105 finish, for the hosts.

Steve Wooliscrof­t scored three registers for Boylestone Arrows in a 6-3 victory over Shoulder C, who were led by four registers by Ryan Austin.

Damian Jones scored three registers and had a 21-dart singles for Smith’s Tavern when they travelled to The Bullets and had a 7-2 win.

David Naylor and Rob Chell both scored three registers for Nags Head in a 5-4 win away to Mezzas Arms.

Shire Horse travelled to Tiger B and won the final doubles for a 5-4 victory.

Shaun Williamson had three registers and a 76 finish and Rich Burton hit a 71 finish for Bluebell in their 6-3 away win against Smith’s Tavern B. Lee Dean had three registers for the Smith’s Tavern B.

Terry Chell scored three registers, including a 112 double start, and Joe Naylor had three registers for Straight Outta Compton when they had a 5-4 win at home to Holly Bush.

Luke Harrison hit a 180 for White Swan when they beat Denstone Tavern 7-2. John O’brien hit three registers, including a 100 double start, and Dane Bourne had a 180 for the visitors.

The men’s doubles will be held at the Memorial Hall in Mayfield tonight (Wednesday). Pairs need to be registered by 7.30pm and entry is £2 per player.
