Spencer, Harrison take title

DAVID Spencer and Dominic Harrison won the Ashbourne Town Darts League Men’s Doubles competition in a closely-fought final at the Mayfield Memorial Hall.

The BGB pair edged out Craig Brassington and Steve Brookes of Roston Inn 3-2 in the final as the tournament drew a large turn-out.

Gavin Ratcliffe hit two 180s on the night but he and Graham Sowter (Mayfield Arms) were beaten in the semi-finals by Brassington and Brooks.

Kim Robinson and Luke Harrison also both hit a 180, with the other losing semi-finalists Tom Fentem and Robin Penfold of Parwich Sycamore.
