relationship counselling. It is a flexible process that avoids the need of court proceedings and helps couples who have decided to end their relationship to discuss and make arrangements concerning their children and finances.
DO WE NEED TO BE MARRIED?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MEDIATOR AND A SOLICITOR?

The mediator’s role is to help you sort out any issues that arise as a result of the breakdown in your relationship.
You are able to make decisions that you are comfortable with. You will not, if mediation is successful, need to go to court and the costs of mediation can be shared equally between you. In some instances (but by no means in all cases) it can be appropriate to include your children in mediation.
Mediation is a process that supports you and your family in formalising arrangements for your separation, it offers you a safe and confidential forum to discuss matters that are relevant to your family. ■
