Pupils sing for Rainbows
CHILDREN from the Fitzherbert Primary School in Fenny Bentley have performed in a charity concert at Derby Cathedral.
The event raised money for Rainbows Hospice. The pupils joined other schools from Derbyshire after just four had been invited to sing at the event – chosen after their success in the Intu Christmas Choir competition last year.
The annual event raised £5,500 on the night.
Annette Froggatt, head of school, said: “It was an honour to have been chosen to take part, and such an incredible experience for all of our Key Stage Two children.
“They sang and behaved beautifully, I am so very proud of every one of them”.
The children at Fitzherbert are also busy practising for their third Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena in January 2019.
