Pupils sing for Rain­bows

CHIL­DREN from the Fitzher­bert Pri­mary School in Fenny Bent­ley have per­formed in a char­ity con­cert at Derby Cathe­dral.

The event raised money for Rain­bows Hos­pice. The pupils joined other schools from Der­byshire af­ter just four had been in­vited to sing at the event – cho­sen af­ter their suc­cess in the Intu Christ­mas Choir com­pe­ti­tion last year.

The an­nual event raised £5,500 on the night.

An­nette Frog­gatt, head of school, said: “It was an hon­our to have been cho­sen to take part, and such an in­cred­i­ble ex­pe­ri­ence for all of our Key Stage Two chil­dren.

“They sang and be­haved beau­ti­fully, I am so very proud of ev­ery one of them”.

The chil­dren at Fitzher­bert are also busy prac­tis­ing for their third Young Voices con­cert at Sh­effield Arena in Jan­uary 2019.
