Top of the class! Awards for QEGS high-achievers

THE top-achieving students at Queen Elizabeths Grammar School have been rewarded for their efforts at the school’s annual speech night.

The event, which is held each year before the school breaks for Christmas, once again saw dozens of students presented with certificates, trophies and other acknowldgements of their achievements throughout 2018.

Guests of honour were former pupils Ashley Spendlove and George Tressider, who presented the awards to the students in front of hundreds of people in between speeches.

Each of the students, who were representing a broad spectrum of ages and year groups, were then congratulated by their course leaders.
