Nursery kids help light up show homes
CHILDREN from a village nursery were given a prechristmas treat at a new housing development after being invited to a light switch-on ceremony.
Youngsters from Small Oaks Childcare in Doveridge helped to spread Christmas cheer at the nearby Derby Road development, after enjoying a tour of the site and were able to take a look around the new show homes on the site.
John Reddington, managing director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We were delighted to welcome the children from Small Oaks Childcare to our Doveridge Park development recently.
“It was fantastic that they could help us to celebrate Christmas for the first time here and give the residents in the local area a display with the lights on the tree.”
Doveridge Park offers a se- lection of one to five bedroom homes centred around mature trees and greenery.
