Market set to carry on trading

ASHBOURNE’S reborn Thursday market will continue to trade through the second lockdown, says its team of volunteer custodians, who will be turning out each week to support traders selling “essential” goods and to manage social distancing.

Ashbourne Communities’ CIC chose to close the market during the initial stages of the spring and summer lock-down, but the Ashcom management team says it now has the confidence and experience to keep the stalls open safely this time round.

The company has admitted that, in the last lock-down, it did not have the confidence to responsibly manage the market, but this time they are determined to ensure the products and services available are still offered in the open-air setting.

An Ashcom spokesman said: “The volunteers, the traders and the customers all know what is expected of them. No gatherings, social distancing, sanitising and face coverings.

“This combined effort means that any visitor will be able to expect a responsibly managed environment in which to shop in the open.

“Ironically, whilst Ashcom has been seeking to grow its trader numbers and product offerings, the fact that it is still a small market on an easily managed site enhances AshCom’s management through this difficult time.

“As before, Ashcom expects the same group of traders providing essential, wellbeing and takeaway products.

“It will seek to have one of its own representatives on site to assist in ensuring social distancing is observed and to have responsible interactive management available for anyone wishing to raise any issues.”

Each week Ashcom will be introducing its market traders to us. Last week you were introduced to Ian Wren, who sells plants, fruit and vegetables. This week we meet the market’s most recent arrival,

Jane Dunstan, from Derby.

Jane and her company, CBD for Living Best Life, provide a supplement intended to benefit overall health and wellbeing. This product, CBD Oil, can support both people and pets and at whatever age.

CBD stands for “cannabinoid”. Talking with Jane is a fascinating journey in understanding the remedial benefits the natural world provides, in this case including to the immune system.

Jane explains: “CBD can be a great supplement for overall health and wellness. It supports a healthy immune system and brain function, and it promotes a healthy mood. It can even improve the appearance of your skin.

“In short, CBD supports what makes you, you”.

Jane will help you understand where CBD is derived from and that this is a safe product.

She will explain how it might help you, as she says “whether it be physical, mental or emotional”

Jane is concerned that she has seen CBD oil products that have additives, chemicals and that in comparison she undertakes that “the quality of our oils are untouchable 100% they are guaranteed triple tested and certified.”

She goes on to assure any client that: “You get a private support group and a caring representative... me with tons of information and answers to any questions on the product.

“I am here to support your Well-being in a safe, legal and natural way”
