WILL Austin, Ken Mckeown and Nick Walker were winners in Ashbourne Golf Club’s April Medal competition.

Austin won the first division as birdies at the eighth, 13th and 17th holes helped him card an excellent nett 69, leaving him two shots clear of Gary Morris, Simon Lockwood and Dave Barrie.

Mckeown was the second division winner with a nett 70, one shot ahead of Alan Tassell, Jason Clowes, Chris Hackett and James Naylor.

And Walker shot a superb nett 68 to top the third divison, his round including a birdie on the seventh.

Simon Griffiths, Jason Clowes and Mel Godfrey won a Texas Scramble three ball competition, while long-standing members John Hammond, Eric Cashmore, Roy Atkinson and Bob Carter won the fourball competition with a nett 54.2.
