Carols date at St Martin’s

ST Martin’s Church in Osmaston is set to host its annual carols service this weekend – with a special booking secured to lead the singing.

Derby Cathedral Choristers will be leading the choir on Sunday for the concert, at 3pm. Admission is free, and wine and mince pies will be on offer. PCC member Anne Thorpe said: “Guests will be able to see the church at its best, beautifully decorated for Christmas, and hear the organ and the choristers fill the church with music and joy.”

Meanwhile, Osmastonbased Chameleon Choir will be holding a Christmas concert at Ashbourne Methodist Church, in Church Street, at 7pm on Saturday. Tickets, priced £10, are available from Fidler Taylor estate agents in Church Street, or on the door.
