Photography group’s show in library
THE Photography Group of the Ashbourne and District U3A has put on a display of photographs in Ashbourne’s library, which will be in place until the end of December.
Themes in the display include monochrome, sunset, reflection and engineering and all the pictures were taken by the group’s amateur enthusiasts. The members meet once a month to share 10 photographs of the previous month’s theme, with 12 themes chosen each year.
Member Philip Aitchison said: “It is always interesting to see how different themes are interpreted. The group is lively and although some of the themes can be challenging, some generate laughter and there is a lot of playful banter.
“The group does aim to learn from each other and to improve their individual techniques. Each month one picture from each person is displayed on the Ashbourne U3A web page.”
