Shelter’s festive fundraising appeal

THIS year Ashbourne Animal Welfare is asking for help to treat its residents to a special Christmas dinner, with a new festive fundraising appeal.

The Wyaston Road rescue and rehoming centre will be aiming to keep all the dogs and cats happy and comfortable over the festive period, and its supporters can help with the costs of keeping bowls and dishes filled with meals.

As part of the Christmas Dinner

Appeal, people can sponsor a dish for 50p - which is what it costs to fill one - and all sponsors will be entered into a prize draw.

The Ark is giving out leaflets with 15 empty bowls on, which people can collect and fill in their details for as many empty bowls as they wish.
