Ashbourne suffer big loss in county derby
A 53-0 hammering away to Derbyshire rivals Matlock sees Ashbourne Rugby Club’s first team starting to trail most of the other strugglers in Midlands
Two East (North).
Ashbourne are now only ahead of Coalville – the only team they have beaten this season – at the bottom of the table.
In home matches, both the thirds and Colts games were halted early by foul conditions.
IN cheerier rugby news, Denstone College student Daisy Aspinall has been chosen for the North to play the South in an England Under-18 trials match.
The achievement is all the more notable because she has been picked two years early for the age group.
The date for the match has yet to be confirmed.
