Ashbourne Sports and Community Partnership
FOLLOWING a much-needed dose of festive TV and good food over the holidays, many of us may share new year resolutions around healthy living.
To help with this, we are very pleased to announce the opening of a new sporting and community facility in Ashbourne for the new year.
At the start of January 2021, construction of the Pavilion on the Park began.
Excitingly, it will open in a few weeks, helping make Ashbourne a Centre of Excellence for sport and community development.
The Pavilion on the Park offers the ideal opportunity to get active, outdoors – plus community healthy living programmes will be based at the Pavilion in the new year. It also has a wonderful bar and one of the best views in Ashbourne.
What’s not to like?!
The development is part of the Ashbourne Sports & Community Partnership’s contribution to Ashbourne’s Build Back Better strategy and the wider regeneration of the area by Ashbourne Town Team and the Town Council as we come out of Covid.
In addition, we will be providing digital learning classes for anyone that wants a friendly and secure environment to develop technology skills and learn new ways to communicate with friends, family and businesses in 2022 to keep the community as connected as possible.
Everyone can be a part of this journey. By providing your support to our local sports clubs we can make them the best in the East Midlands.
If you’d like to help the partnership in any way, or even join its committee, then please contact David Wood, the Partnership Secretary, on 07943 455824.
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy New Year.
