NFU Mutual branches team up to create new Derbyshire Peaks agency

-

ASHBOURNE’S branch of the rural insurer NFU Mutual has joined up with its neighbouring branches in Bakewell and Chapel-en-le-frith to create a new “flagship” agency which will be known as NFU Mutual Derbyshire Peaks.

The new agency has retained the offices and staff in each of the towns in order to provide a high level of customer service backed with a local knowledge. The new agency has local agents Paul Cook, Philip Burnip, Ben Hiles and Trish Winterbottom at the helm, who between them have 60 years’ knowledge in the sector – covering personal and commercial services ranging from insurance to financial planning, health and retirement planning.

Philip Burnip said: “We are confident that our new, larger agency will offer a wealth of benefits to local people and businesses.

“We have already recruited a number of new staff members to help us to continue to provide a bespoke, personal customer service.

“We are of course still committed to assisting our agricultural businesses but have both the scope and expertise to work with a wider cross-section of organisations, in particular those within the hospitality and engineering sectors.”

NFU Mutual incorporates more than 300 local businesses located in rural towns and villages throughout the UK. It was named as one of the UK’S top 25 companies of 2021 by professional networking site Linkedin.

The annual Top Companies list reveals where professionals want to work and identifies the best employers that help grow careers.

As well as tracking how career and skills development is supported by an employer, Linkedin also monitor employee stability, how workplace culture is ingrained and acted upon, as well as employees’ ability to advance within an organisation.

This comes after NFU Mutual – who are based in Stratford-uponavon, Warwickshire, with around 4,000 employees – was the only UK organisation to be awarded the ‘Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award’.
