Secretarial services firm is typing its own new address

- By Gareth Butterfield

A BUSINESS that has been providing secretarial and printing services to the town for 27 years is on the move.

Ashbourne Secretarial and Printing Services, run by Sonya Williamson from Ashbourne Business Centre in Dig Street for nearly three decades, will start trading from Church Street from next month.

Sonya says she is looking forward to welcoming her customers old and new to her new premises, at 32A, Church Street, when she reopens on Monday, April 4.

She said: “Twenty-seven years is a long time in one place, but it’s an opportunity to refresh, and regular customers will be pleased to know there are now no stairs to climb.

“The move is mainly due to Covid. I have rented Ashbourne Business Centre and sub-let seven of the offices for over 20 years.

“During this period, there has hardly ever been a shortage of tenants, some have rented years rather than months.

“However, Covid struck and during lockdown all but one company left to work from home and have not returned.

“Financially this made staying at Ashbourne Business Centre unviable and new premises have now been taken at 32a Church Street – just around the corner.”

The old Dig Street office will be closed on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 for the move, and will re-open for business on Monday, April 4.

Ashbourne Secretarial and Printing Services was established in 1996 to provide a wide range of confidential secretarial support and design and printing services to the general public and a variety of businesses.

During this period, it has gained a reputation for a professional, reliable and speedy service, providing excellent quality while maintaining competitive prices.

As well as the change of address, there will be a new telephone number – 01335 300485.
