Papua New Guinea (PNG) has revealed that it will continue to uphold its agreed deal with Huawei Technologies in the face of competition from the likes of Australia, Japan and the US.
The deal will see the Chinese Company working on a major telecommunications construction project that is expected to dramatically transform PNG’s existing internet infrastructure.
This will entail the implementation of a 5,457-kilometre network of submarine cables that are set to link 14 coastal towns around the country. helping to put up and coming global cities on the map, drawing tens of thousands of international business tourists.
The Osaka Expo is set to be held on a manmade island in seven years’ time, centring around a theme of ‘Society 5.0’, revealing how new technologies such as artificial intelligence can be used for public benefit.
