TOSHIBA energises Malaysia’s electricity grid

In Malaysia, TOSEM’s latest project is the Jimah East Ultra Super Critical (USC) coal-fired power plant. TOSHIBA Group is supplying and installing two units of 1,000 MW USC steam turbines, generators and related equipment, and is expected to be fully operational this year. The use of USC technology enables Jimah East Power to convert energy more efficiently by burning less fuel for more power.

Apart from traditional offerings, TOSHIBA is accelerating its technological advancements through digitalisation. TOSHIBA’s digitalisation involves the use of digital technologies to change the business proposition and provide new revenues and values, generating opportunities in the energy industries.
