A SPECIAL centenarian was wined and dined with a special shopping trip and afternoon tea to celebrate her big day.

Having shopped at M&S her whole life, colleagues at the Tamworth store teamed up with Audrey’s daughter to arrange a personalised shopping trip and afternoon tea in the cafe to celebrate the ‘remarksable’ milestone of one of its most cherished customers as she turned 100 years old.

During her trip, members of M&S Tamworth’s clothing and home department helped Audrey find the perfect outfit for her 100th birthday celebrations which she shared with family and friends.

Audrey’s connection with Marks & Spencer spans a lifetime, regularly shopping at the Tamworth store for her daily food essentials and to update her wardrobe.

She still proudly wears a number of original St Michael items from the early days, reflecting her love for the quality of the high street retailer. Furthermore, her local M&S Tamworth store, situated in Ventura Park, holds a special place in her heart, fondly referred to as her ‘corner shop.’

Still enjoying shopping trips into her nineties, Audrey would occasionally find herself engrossed in the treasures of M&S for more than FOUR hours at a time!

Known for her love of M&S, Audrey’s current favourite ensemble features sparkly leggings, paired with a silver sequinned blouson jacket and a black jumper adorned with silver and blue sparkles. Her impeccable sense of style, honed during her youth when she modelled at The Royal Albert Hall, continues to shine bright.

Rob Miller, store manager at M&S Tamworth, said: “It’s truly heartwarming to be able to help celebrate Audrey’s remarkable milestone and her deep connection with M&S.

“Audrey’s loyalty and positive outlook on life has brightened our store over the years, and we are honoured to have played a part in her 100th birthday.

“We extend our warmest congratulations to Audrey and look forward to continuing to be her ‘corner shop’ for both her and her family for years to come.”
