Renovated pub gets national nod thanks to 2024 honour
THE National Pub and Bar Awards has named its top choice of pubs and bars across the UK for 2024. Among the entries is a renovated bar in Tamworth.
Regional winners include Tamworth Arms in Lichfield Street, which was named in the West Midlands county award. Its website says: “The Tamworth Arms has been serving the local public for centuries. The Grade II listed building has recently received a huge transformation, now modernised and back in action.”
No Birmingham pub got a look in. Warwickshire’s top pub and bar was named as The House in The Parade at Leamington Spa.
It comes after the town was highlighted as one of the best places to live in the UK.
Reviews love the cocktails with Bia Pink saying in a Google review: “Amazing atmosphere and the drinks are always great. Best mojito in town!”
Shropshire’s top pub was picked as The Tally Ho Inn in Boulden. It is set amongst countryside near Craven Arms and diners rave about the “outstanding food”.
Other nearby pubs honoured include Gloucestershire’s winner of The Bottle of Sauce in Cheltenham. All the pubs named best for their county across England are listed below.
