FUNDRAISING FOR ATTACK
A FIREFIGHTER from Rochdale has started to tackle the challenge of running 22 races over 10km in memory of the 22 victims of last year’s Manchester Arena attack.
Aaron Parmar (right) was a police officer at the arena on the night of the bombing during an Ariana Grande concert and he’s keen to show his support for the victims.
“Coming from Rochdale, the 10km in my hometown on October 7 will be extra special and I’m confident I will be able to do all 22 races in under an hour each,” says Parmar, who began his 22 events with a race in Southport.
“I will be raising money for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund which is managed by the British Red Cross who did a fantastic job in supporting the victims and their families during that harrowing time and who continue to support them today.”
