FUNDRAIS­ING FOR AT­TACK

A FIRE­FIGHTER from Rochdale has started to tackle the chal­lenge of run­ning 22 races over 10km in me­mory of the 22 vic­tims of last year’s Manch­ester Arena at­tack.

Aaron Par­mar (right) was a po­lice of­fi­cer at the arena on the night of the bomb­ing dur­ing an Ari­ana Grande con­cert and he’s keen to show his sup­port for the vic­tims.

“Com­ing from Rochdale, the 10km in my home­town on Oc­to­ber 7 will be ex­tra spe­cial and I’m con­fi­dent I will be able to do all 22 races in un­der an hour each,” says Par­mar, who be­gan his 22 events with a race in South­port.

“I will be rais­ing money for the We Love Manch­ester Emer­gency Fund which is man­aged by the Bri­tish Red Cross who did a fan­tas­tic job in sup­port­ing the vic­tims and their fam­i­lies dur­ing that har­row­ing time and who con­tinue to sup­port them to­day.”
