GRAY IS FREE TO RETURN UNDER HIS OWN NAME

Athletics Weekly - - Dip Finish -

JACK GRAY was disqualified after winning the Cambridge Half-Marathon this year after running under someone else’s name, but he has been welcomed back by the organisers for the 2019 event.

The 25-year-old from Cambridge & Coleridge took the place of an injured colleague from work in March and, in his first half-marathon, ended up beating the 7000-strong field in 66:52.

However, race director Adam Moffat says Gray is free to run again, just as long as he competes under his own name next time.
