Virgin is set to add a shimmer to the skies with the launch of the UK’s first Pride Flight. The one- off trip celebrates World Pride 2019, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and the birth of the LGBT+ liberation movement. Hosted by Attitude Award- winner and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess ( p90), there will be live entertainment, including a DJ, drag queen bingo, a Judy Garland singalong, and inter- seat speed dating. The flight, between Heathrow and New York’s Newark airport, will be staffed entirely by LGBT+ pilots and crew, and leaves on Friday 28 June 2019, A donation from each ticket sold will go to the Attitude Magazine Foundation to advance community Pride initiatives in the UK.
