It’s been five years since watch brand Christopher Ward developed the first working prototype of their in- house movement, the Calibre SH21. To celebrate, the watch brand are launching a four- piece Apex range focusing on motoring, diver’s, dress and aviation watches. Taking pole position is their motorsport watch, the C7 Apex Limited Edition. This 50- piece watch has a semi- open dial so you can see the workings of its engine — specifically, the Calibre SH21. The futuristic aesthetic of the C7 Apex has seen the design and technical team at Christopher Ward working together to plan the Apex’s function as well as its form — primarily, the eye- catching red, skeletonised bridge design that’s a bold feature of the watch. Co- founder Mike France says, “There has never been a Christopher Ward watch like this before; and for the fifth anniversary of the prototype of our ground- breaking in- house movement, that’s exactly what Calibre SH21 deserves.”

The C7 Apex Limited Edition costs £ 2,995 and is available to order from christopherward. co. ukNOVEMBER 2018
