MAKING A NAME FOR THEMSELVES
When Donald Trump attempted to ban Muslims from entering the US, Toronto’s residents, disgusted with his behaviour, demanded that his hotel in the city be put under new management. And their wish was granted when Marriott took over ownership, dismantled the Trump sign and quickly renamed it The Adelaide. But the story doesn’t end there: on 28 November the hotel joined Marriott’s prestigious St Regis group, the first in Canada. The hotel in the heart of the city features a 32nd- floor indoor salt- water pool that overlooks the downtown skyline, and the largest suites in the city are among its 258 rooms, all with Italian linen and marbled bathrooms.
