A bril­liant film­maker whose best films use ex­treme bad man­ners to abra­sive ef­fect, the Dane set­tles merely for piled- on ug­li­ness in this grisly se­rial killer por­trait which lacks an in­tel­lec­tual pay­off. 14 De­cem­ber
