WELL READ
Located on Koh Samui’s Chaweng Beach in Thailand, The Library
Hotel’s pool is designed with orange, yellow and red mosaic tiles, giving it the striking appearance of having crimson- coloured water. When dried off, you can leaf through the Library’s 1,400- strong book collection and dine at The Page restaurant. The contemporary 46 studios, suites and ( green) pool villas all come equipped with iMacs, mood lighting and outdoor seating areas. The design throughout is crisp white walls mixed with dark wood and slate accents and the occasional pop of colour. The grounds are shaded by coconut and frangipani trees, beyond which is a soft, sandy beach and turquoise sea.

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND
The 108- room Belmond Cap Juluca can be found on the small Caribbean island of Anguilla and its infinity pool appears to merge with the sea while including a waterfall trickling from an adjacent pool. Around the deck are loungers under square umbrellas where complimentary chilled towels and sorbets are offered throughout the day. The property is set across the coast in a series of white buildings featuring two restaurants, a cocktail bar, the Arawek Spa and a tennis court.

ROC STAR
A print — price £ 225 — of the Hotel du Cap- Eden- Roc’s original pool was once incorporated on to a pair of Orlebar Brown swim shorts, and even on a pair of trunks, the glamour of the French Riviera property is evident. The hotel has played host to celebrities such as F Scott Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso and the Kennedys since it opened in 1870. In 2011, the rectangular pool, set in the cliff’s edge, was expanded to become a curved infinity pool, but it retains its nautical art deco feel. When you’ve finished sipping cocktails by the pool, relax in one of the 118 classically appointed guest rooms and dine on the catch of the day at the grill overlooking the Cap d’Antibes waters.
