A GENEROUS LOVER

Part of Home Manchester’s Orbit festival, La John Joseph’s solo show is well worth circling. Based on a true story, this tender, touching play, staged on 24 and 25 September, follows a gender queer individual as they navigate the mental- health services on behalf of a loved one — while occasionally being mistaken for a patient themself.
