Wilhelmina’s Bill Wackermann

Bill Wackermann is the chief executive of Wilhelmina Models. The international agency looks after superstars such as Nicki Minaj and Shawn Mendes and currently books a model on a job every three minutes! Bill’s in charge of brand growth and the company’s core modelling business, as well as being on the board of directors. His CV reveals 20 years at Condé Nast, as well as being the author of Flip the Script.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Everything works out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out, you’re not at the end so keep going

It’s actually a play: Shakespeare’s Henry IV. If you’re strict about a book: John Adams, by David McCullough

What’s your favourite form of art?

Painting and portraiture because there is always a story behind it

Greatest diva?

Nicki Minaj. She is our queen and we just booked her Fendi campaign

Extra Virgin, no pun intended. It’s a cute restaurant on West 4th St

Most rewarding thing about your job?

I work with a team of really talented, inspiring agents on a daily basis and we get to make people’s dreams come true
