Another starring vehicle for Adam Driver ( see right), and we’re not complaining even if this absorbing political thriller shows him off to rather more stoic effect. Here, he’s the real- life US Senate investigator Daniel Jones, appointed to examine allegations of CIA torture under the George W Bush administration in the wake of 9/ 11. It’s urgent, although not as shocking an exposé to us as to many of the characters. 15 November
