The & Juliet soundtrack just dropped and Mamma Mia’s wig is snatched! The West End’s freshest new musical, & Juliet is an inclusive, feminist, feel- good musical for generation yasss. It’s a bop- heavy mash- up of songs from Swedish producer Max Martin’s back catalogue, including bangers from Britney, Kesha, Robyn, P! nk, Kelly Clarkson and more.

The result: an extremely dramatic singalong musical sensation. It’s loud, proud and I’m pretty sure it’s the first major musical production to feature a trans storyline.

You haven’t heard I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman until you’ve heard it like this. The show imagines that Juliet doesn’t die, and instead she kicks Shakespeare’s toxic masculinity into the dirt and starts her own journey.

Miriam- Teak Lee’s vocals are breath- taking, demonstrated best on Baby One More Time, Since U Been Gone and Show Me Love. The music celebrates female empowerment and everyone’s right to choose their own journey, and with the show about to become the best jukebox musical of the next decade, it’s well worth a listen.
