Marilyn Monroe, Coca- Cola bottles and Campbell’s soup tins. Three things that spring to mind when you mention Andy Warhol. But a new exhibition shines a light on some of his lesser- known works. Among those on display at London’s Tate Modern, between 12 March and 6 September, is
1975’ s Ladies and Gentlemen, a series of portraits refelcting the experiences of New York’s African- African and Latinx drag queens and transgender women. The collection was created shortly after the death of Warhol’s trans muse, Candy Darling.
