WHAT does Apple’s decision to ditch the 3.5mm headphone socket for wireless tech on its new iphone 7 mean for drivers?

A Lightning to 3.5mm adapter will be supplied with every phone, but it won’t be possible to charge it and listen to music simultaneo­usly: you’ll need a stereo equipped with Bluetooth or Apple Carplay instead. Apple also announced improvemen­ts to its Maps service, promising greater integratio­n with third-party apps.

THIS year’s Dayinsure Wales Rally GB takes place on 27-30 October, and it’s set be the most challengin­g route yet.

All but one of the 22 stages is set on gravel tracks in the forests of North Wales, so the rally promises plenty of action and lots of spectating opportunit­ies. Tickets start from £20 for the Rallyfest at Cholmondel­ey Castle, and details of all events can be found at walesrally­gb.com.

Surtees’ F1 Ferrari joins Forza 6 grid

IT already has a vast roster of cars, but Forza Motorsport 6 on the Xbox One has released a Summer Car Pack with seven more models.

Firstly, there’s John Surtees’ 1964 Formula One championsh­ipwinning Ferrari F-158, while Indy 500 fans get AJ Foyt’s 1964 roadster, plus there’s the 1991 Nissan R91CP and 1979 Datsun 280ZX Turbo for sports car lovers.

There are also three road cars: the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V and Abarth 695 Biposto, and 2000 BMW 323ti. The pack is available to download from the Xbox Store for £5.59.
