SUZUKI’S engines may not be the most exciting or refined, but owners couldn’t be happier with how efficient and economical they are – ranking the manufacturer first for fuel economy and running costs.
Dealers helped the brand clinch the top spot thanks to great feedback on servicing bills. But a first place for running costs is unfortunately one of the few highlights for the company.
It placed far down the rankings in the exterior category, with owners unimpressed by Suzuki’s design efforts, while a 25th place for infotainment was poor. They were particularly critical of sat-nav and touchscreen sensitivity. A 14th place for interior and comfort helped bring up the average score, with buyers providing positive feedback on the visibility from the driver’s seat.
An 11th place for ride and handling helped the Japanese manufacturer gain back some points, with owners most happy about their cars’ braking and steering responsiveness.
