THE latest Toyota Supra has barely landed in dealers, but tuning specialist Litchfield has already unveiled a range of upgrades for the Japanese coupé. The company, from Tewkesbury, Glos, was one of the first firms to get early access to the all-new Supra, so it has a package of tuning options tested and ready to go.
Those searching for extra power can pay £600 to have the six-cylinder motor remapped to give more than 430bhp and 602Nm of torque – a considerable jump from the stock 335bhp, or the 370bhp seen from the standard motor on Litchfield’s dyno when running on V-Power fuel.
Milltek and Akrapovic exhausts are available alongside the engine remap, from about £1,750, and there’s an uprated charge cooler radiator to extract more power by improving cooling and the system’s capacity. Induction hasn’t been ignored, with a heat-shielded package, plus a gearbox and engine-cooler package.
To help use that extra power effectively, a lowering spring kit and fast road geometry package is available from £750, while a full adjustable suspension kit costs from £2,694 (both prices including VAT, fitting and alignment).
Cosmetically there’s a choice of subtle carbon-fibre additions, including front and rear lips and vent trims. The firm is also working on extra cooling ducts to significantly lower under-bonnet temperatures.
For those worried about modifying a brandnew car, Litchfield provides a warranty for all work done at its Tewkesbury premises.
