High-speed crashes

Everyone was wowed by the design of the original Audi TT when it was unveiled in 1998. However, the picture became clouded when the cars took to the roads and reports starting to come in of an unusual number of high-speed accidents involving the model. The company’s response was to recall the car, revise the suspension, fit a rear spoiler and add ESP handling technology – and these changes solved the problem.
