DEFRANCESCO GETS PIPPED
Canadian Devlin Defrancesco, who pulled out of his FIA Formula 3 drive with Trident on the eve of the season, fell just 0.0556 seconds short of winning on his Indy Pro 2000 debut at Road America last weekend. Defrancesco led after qualifying on pole for Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport, but was outgunned on the drag to the line by Singaporean talent Danial Frost, who had started from the back of the grid. Russian ex-european F3 racer Artem Petrov won the sequel. Briton Matt Round-garrido finished fourth in each of the USF2000 races.
