CHAPLIN’S UNFUNNY ENDING
Elation turned to dejection for racing debutant Michael Chaplin in the first Caterham 270R race at Brands Hatch last weekend. Chaplin, whose only prior experience was karting as a teenager, ducked out of Hugo Bush’s slipstream and the pair were initially credited with shared victory for a dead heat. But Chaplin was excluded when his car was found to be underweight after losing its nosecone in earlier contact.
