F5000 TREBLE FOR COLLINS

Fifty years after New Zealander Graham Mcrae won the Lady Wigram Trophy Formula 5000 race on neighbouring Wigram airfield in one of his own creations, Michael Collins scored a Tasman Cup Revival Series treble in a Leda GM1 (below) at Ruapuna’s Mike Pero Motorsport

Park last weekend. David Banks (Talon MR1) chased Collins and Steve Ross home in a 1-2-3 for Mcraedesigned chassis in the handicap.
