The Bluebells and the Christians hold fundraising gigs for hospice
A BRAND-NEW series of music concerts is coming to Ayrshire this winter to raise money for the redevelopment of the Ayrshire Hospice.
Organiser Giggin’ it Laldy is bringing big name bands and artists to Ayrshire.
And the first concert will be headlined by The Christians and The Bluebells at Troon Concert Hall on Sunday, November 13.
Hazel McIlwraith, the Ayrshire Hospice Capital Campaign Director, said: “Giggin it Laldy is an exclusive experience born out of the genuine love of live music and ambition to produce a series of gigs in Ayrshire.
“We’re delighted to be bringing The Bluebells and The Christians to Troon this November alongside Brian Kennedy and Jeremy Levif for what will be the first a unique series of concerts supporting our organisation.”
All monies raised from Giggin’ it Laldy will go towards the Ayrshire Hospice Capital Campaign, a multi-million-pound renovation of the charity’s home in Ayr.
Hazel added: “This first concert will be an acoustic gig, in the atmospheric surrounding of the Concert Hall, giving the artists the opportunity to play some of their best-known songs completely stripped back in an intimate environment.”
The Bluebells are best known for their 1984 hit Young at Heart which hit the top of UK charts when it was re-released in 1993.
The Christians are best known for their double-platinum debut album which reached number two in the album charts in 1987, are regulars on stages across the UK.
